Link was the best user anyone followed. It’s not just you. There’s a reason I spend very little time here these days, certainly since Link’s short-lived retirement earlier this year. It’s that the Wild West days are gone and I remember what Arizona was like for about 75 years after they ended there.

This thread. I understand many on this site are new to protests with the kind of stakes your current protests have. But you need to become aware of those stakes and be aware that there are new risks you may not have had to think about before. Listen to the people who have already lived those stakes.
A whole lot of people are coming for @angryblacklady.bsky.social today for saying "do not put your name on a list of people attending a protest, what the fuck" with responses like "you're just discouraging people!" and "but they already know who you are!" and "DON'T LET THE TERRORISTS WIN" etc

The problem is not that our laws don’t let people “decide to die with dignity.” The problem is that we’ve let everyone convince us that being bedridden, confused, and/or incontinent means you don’t have dignity.

I think my favorite food packaging trend of the last couple decades is “MADE WITH REAL INGREDIENTS”. Really reminds me of the rapid decline of American discourse and intelligence so I don’t overestimate people.
