Hi! I'm JJ Reddington and I'm a NY based artist and commercial photographer. I take a lot of different types of pictures, but I am inspired most by queer people, film, and pop culture. I always say the camera allows me to satisfy my curiosity about other people and their stories. Let's connect!

Homan went on CNN to complain that ICE’s attempts to arrest Chicagoans has been hampered by the people’s knowledge of policy—largely because of the city’s “Know Your Rights” campaign. Fascists rely on your compliance. On your ignorance. They depend upon your fear.

Disappoint them.

I’m going to be honest, going through this thread has me fired the fuck up the federal government the day-to-day workers the people we don’t think about our gearing up to fight against the dying of the light. We need to have their backs and get this energy into our lives. This is all of our fight.

In 2008, a man tried to kill me while saying “you’re already dead.” He was right. I was dead inside and kinda wanted him to kill me. I knew I had to change my life.

We all have to decide for ourselves if we’re already dead and okay with America killing us. What used to work no longer works. Change.

Same goes for any art, I fear!
99.99% of the time you're going to be the first and last person to read it. If it ever gets in front of another human, it has already survived the insurmountable odds of your own self-rejection, and the odds become much more grim after that. Just go ahead and write whatever you want!

Really incredible story about queer artist Willem Arondeus using his art to resist the Nazi regime.
Thread: With the rise to power of fascism, in the US, & its persecution & criminalisation of LGBTQ people, I want to share the important story of a gay Dutch resistance martyr.

He said: ‘Let it be known that homosexuals are not cowards.’

teensy tiny correction: the government does not have to provide you an attorney for immigration court, so you should make arrangements with one now. Just someone you can call if you get yoked up by ICE.

If you ask for one, they will not and do not have to provide you one.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
