Makes sense! I like reading them all together w/o huge breaks in between. I would definitely say my favorites were the last three as I like the bigger cast and honestly the darker symbolism hanging over Anne of Ingleside and Rainbow Valley makes it "feel" more like some of her other, later books

I feel like putting House of Dreams on your list of faves means you are tougher than me.
*That* scene in House of Dreams shook me more than anything else in the series. Wasn't expecting it and I didn't know how to process it at all.
(My favorite is Rilla of Ingleside btw)

Hell yeah! It's a good one; as a big fan of the books, it might be my favorite adaptation.

18. How do you show whimsy as an adult?
jld.bsky.social
hehe, I still remember the theme song!
jld.bsky.social
Absolutely formative. This is so deeply burrowed into my brain that I can tell what it is in the first second and I will sometimes just say "When I was darkness at that time" to myself for no reason

The Hudson Bee wishes to thank everyone who has passed through in the last few days, basked in his hat wearing glory & helped to share him around the world, thus adding a spot of bee shaped happiness to all who have witnessed him🫡
The Hudson Bee, hat in hand as he takes a bow or possibly even a curtsey. We shall never know for sure and it is of no consequence anyway. He may do as he pleases

Regarding media culture specifically, a lot. Almost all the big ones, I'd say.
I've gotten where I am in life by listening to people's conversations and nodding along and then going home to look up on Wikipedia the thing they referenced.

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

This message is brought to you by I bought a pie today and it had labels like "this product is high in saturated fat! this product is high in sugar!"
Like...no shit? I didn't think cherry pie was a health food. I bought it because it's fall now and I wanted to eat a whole pie and feel cozy, fuck off

I keep seeing the new "ingredient warnings" on food and tbh it's insulting that people who make these decisions think if a person isn't doing a desired behavior it's from lack of information.
Generally if someone isn't doing the food thing you want it's either:
Inaccessibility.
Personal choice.

Yeah, I wonder this too. The only otome I can think of with even a rival is Angelique.

You can look at him in the image below👇
The Hudson bee mascot wearing a cowboy hat. Bees cannot wear hats but this guy does not care. He is making it work

QRP with your book covers 📖
Portrait of a pale girl with red hair and blue eyes. An undead woodpecker is draped over the left side of her face. Portrait of a boy in school uniform. Scratches are covering his face, as if a clawed creature had torn through paper. Through the tears grow thorny vines and roses. A boy drowning in thorny vines with soft pink blossoms. Vines cover his eyes. A small island with a small village surrounded by dead fish and a dead sea. Above a starry night sky.

Reasons to still mask in 2025:

1. Less chance of spreading sickness
2. Less chance of getting sick
3. Your high school ex who you unexpectedly encounter working at the grocery store who once told you he didn't think you were REALLY queer isn't sure enough it's you to try to reconnect with you 🙂😷

"Building experiences."
No, I'm pretty sure I just want a bank to offer a secure place to store money and perhaps offer financial advising and financial products.
Who is asking for this?
