My piece in tomorrow’s Times about the toxic men in stand-up comedy. www.thetimes.com/culture/come...
The comedy scene is stuffed with toxic men — so I wrote a novel about them
Don’t Make Me Laugh is about predatory men in the British comedy industry — the author wasn’t lacking for real-life inspiration

Awww, GB News are having a carol concert. Hope they tell the story of the refugees arriving in Bethlehem to be told they can apply for permanent right to stay after 15 years but Bethlehem will still probably tell them to go back where they came from because the we prefer LOCAL messiahs. 🎄 🎅🏻 🎁

I mean, I would say that, but listen to this.
OUT TODAY! Netflix star Stephen Oswald tells me about the long-lasting trauma of seeing Hammer House of Horror's The House That Bled to Death at the age of 6. Brilliantly horrible and Stephen is a pure joy.

This is fascinating. Macbeth witches not originally old hags at all.
So, the witches in Macbeth may be a later reworking by playwright Thomas Middleton. Someone who attended the play in 1611 described 3 'beautiful' "feiries or Nimiphes," not “filthy hags”. Holinshed's Chronicles, Shakespeare's source, also describes 3 "creatures of the elderwood.. nymphs or fairies"

Re Unbound/Boundless, it’s a question worth repeating. The money they lost belonged to other people. Other people who did NOT sign up to gamble on AI.
Still not something any of the news coverage has tackled. Publishers go under due to unwise spending and investments, but the money they are investing is their own. Not mine, and other people’s, whose funds they were supposed to be holding in escrow.

If a solicitor did that, they’d be in prison.
