Tell you what, as a mostly metal guitarist, learning Django Reinhardt is absolutely humbling

This is one of the best pieces of video games writing I’ve read in years

They are literally giving that wizard school game for free on Epic. I still won’t play it because JKR an absolute ghoul.

My Inis: Legendary Edition Kickstarter arrived and it is GORGEOUS.

The original game art is obvious stellar since Jim Fitzpatrick was involved but the new art for this edition is absolutely stunning #boardgames

Opportunistic shot out the bus window on the way home while crossing North Bridge in Edinburgh just after sunset. Pretty please with the colours in this!

Generally speaking, getting a driving licence makes you a better cyclist, and being a regular cyclist makes you a better driver.

Playthrough 2 of Expedition 33 and, if anything, it’s even better this time around. Not only do I understand the systems better, so the early game is a bit less bruising, but the foreshadowing in the writing is masterful. Playing it knowing what I know now opens up a whole new side to the narrative

I did NOT expect Stinkfist at the end of Alien Earth Episode 2

I don’t know if I’m getting too old or games are getting worse or both but this Sony State of Play is dire

I absolutely loved Hades 2, I thought it was better than the original in every way. But after finishing the main story (took me about 33 hours) I don’t feel much motivation to do the endgame content

I was not expecting Tyres from Spaced to show up in the first episode of Alien: Earth

The Old King’s Crown from Eerie Idol Games @theoldkingscrown.bsky.social is here! It’s great being able to support a Scottish Board game company. Can’t wait to get this one on the table! #boardgames

My 4yo daughter has been up before 5.30am every morning this week because of the clock change at the weekend. We both feel absolutely exhausted. Why do we continue to put the clocks back / forwards?

I’m (I think) about 2/3rds of the way through Keeper and I don’t really know how I feel about it. It’s gorgeous and has a very distinctive art style and the non-verbal storytelling is very impressive… but it’s just not a huge amount of fun to actually play, mechanically

We played our first game of SETI last night.

Really enjoyable, kinda feels like peak Eurogame with elements of Brass, Terraforming Mars and Terra Mystica. Extremely well designed and lots of variety. Visually stunning. Looking forward to repeat plays #boardgames

Probably my greatest professional achievement is that two throwaway derisory phrases of mine have been fully embraced by colleagues and have taken on a life of their own.

“Big number must go up”

“Vibes-driven decision making”
