Two roman altars found near Edinburgh and related to the cult of Mithras are going to be displayed for the first time. One of the altars, dedicated to the god Sol, had holes so it could be illuminated from within, and don't tell me this is not the most rpg thing ever.

The other day someone on here mentioned that the green parts on the apple are there because they were shaded from the sun by a branch, leaf or other apple.
It stopped me in my tracks. How have I gotten this far in my life without knowing this?

Another resistance quilt finished this week. The eye is my own design, the letters are a fpp pattern by QuiltByNight, the rounded corners and black binding are meant to resemble the phones we the people are using to document the horrors and disprove the government’s lies about what they are doing.

Tripped and fell on ice at an intersection today. Right after the light changed and I looked to see that no cars were going to drive into the crosswalk, I went to cross, stepped into the very frozen,lumpy pile of snow and ice that hadn’t been cleared & went down like a toddler,learning to walk.
