"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin
The Republicans in this state had the Democrats dragged to the state house by DPS at gunpoint, under threat of arrest, to pass this bullshit law. What people need to get through their heads is that in many states, including mine, there isn't a functional democracy anymore. It's the truth.
BREAKING: Supreme Court sides with Texas Republicans in fight over congressional map. The new gerrymandered map will be used in the 2026 midterms. The vote is 6–3, with the Republican appointees siding with Texas.

In Texas we know democracy is no longer in effect. Done. Gone.

You know, all that cable news time last week and tough talk about going too far and being a bully and etc? Kinda undercut by STILL VOTING TO CONFIRM THE BULLY'S JUDGES. Why should any Don nominee for anything get even a single D vote at this stage? He threatens them with death, they still do this.
11 Senate Democrats just voted to advance the nomination of a Federal Society judge who used to defend banks and payday lenders:

Durbin
Gallego
Hassan
Hirono
Kaine
Kelly
King
Klobuchar
Reed
Rosen
Whitehouse

I agree with those who say the real Nuzzi story is how totally she indicts the entire world of political journalism. They all share in her shame, and how someone so clearly compromised and unqualified and frankly unintelligent and pathological was shoved in our faces as a good reporter is shocking.

Yeah this graphic ESPN just showed with the Patriots' incoming free agents this year which depicted them as if they're items to purchase on an e-commerce site with SHOPPING CART ICONS next to their photos like uh, who approved that? Christ.

My "My Brain Works Fine" t-shirt is raising questions already answered by my shirt
Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

The most nuts thing about this is there actually are positive headlines, from a day ago, about this. The story based on facts is: gas going below $3 avg for the first time in 4.5 or so years. That's an easy layup positive headline! But nope have to reinforce what Daddy said and just lie bigly.
HASSETT: Gas prices dropped below $2 a gallon in a lot of places

CORDES: Gas prices on average are still at $3 a galloon

HASSETT: For a few states they got below $2

No value, no villain, no vision. Sounds like the tagline for the earnings call of a collapsing appliance retailer

Do you guys think the Dems made that video about illegal orders specifically BECAUSE they heard about the strike we're learning about today and they wanted to respond to it, and perhaps encourage the leaked disclosure we just got? Now the world knows. Maybe that was the point and why Don got so mad.

I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

I love how no elected Republican is competent now and every one of them gets their news from Twitter like they have no official ways to get authoritative news about things like this. Christ.
Annnnnnd now the West Virginia governor says he's not sure about the condition of the National Guardsmen.

Maybe best to not tweet out that they are both dead until, you know, you KNOW that is absolutely the case...
November 26, 2025 at 9:27 PM
The National Guard deployments to blue cities were immoral and illegal and now have a body count attached on the Guard side of the envelope. They never should have happened and should end today, all it's doing is risk lives so Don can feel like a big man. Call it out for what it is. End it now.
UPDATE: Two National Guard members dead after shooting near the White House in Washington, DC. A suspect is now in custody, according to police.

Wow, they know they're losing this argument over the long term. This is not the act of folks who know they're winning. This is sticking fingers in ears and going LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU in the face of inconvenient observable reality.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

This is hilarious in many ways but let me focus here:

Hey asshole, you want us to dress better? Have the airlines elevate their customer experience above "Greyhound bus of the sky." You do that and we can talk.

Jesus, airlines used to feed us whole ass meals and let us smoke on planes too. idiot.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

I am seeing a lot of Takes and Discourse today about Democrats and The South and I'm sorry to say, a lot of y'all are trying to post about it while missing a pretty glaring big reason why Ds lose there: it's because of a century plus of trying to deny black voters the vote. And now the VRA is gone.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*
