Yeah, I’m pretty sure the RCC made similar arguments against contraception, abortion and IVF.

So, no.

We can make better arguments than this.

Condemning people for using Chat GPT is not going to help.

There. There’s my wildly controversial take.

This is my 6th year posting this same message. Black Friday is a nonsense with often pretend discounts on stuff you probably don’t need. We’ll do as we always do at this time and increase the 1% of all income we give to Women’s Aid to 10% on web sales over the weekend. Fuck Black Friday. #speirgorm

A lot of things to say about that FT hitpiece, but trying to peer pressure Ireland into splashing a few billion on fighter jets because the HSE weren't arsed updating their PCs is very funny.

You don’t have to understand, but if you do that’s very nice.

Thanking you.

Step 3 is a ‘robust debate’.
They lose so consistently that they've progressed to demanding a mature debate.

Apologies to the Lemass family for this comment, but all names applied to public utilities should be vetted for their 'tabloid headline' potential. Do we want to risk 'More disruption at Lame-ass airport'?

The idea that Ireland's "vulnerability" is a major headache for EU/NATO strategic planners is simply not factually accurate. I spend a lot of time reading the work of, speaking to, and listening at conferences to these people, and I have literally never heard this mentioned! It's not on their minds!

This is outrageously propagandistic
When it comes to modern war, Ireland is a high-value target: its waters on the western fringe of Europe contain three-quarters of all undersea cables in the northern hemisphere. Despite this, is unprotected and unprepared.

An #FTEdit 🧵 on why this determinedly neutral nation is Europe's weak link 👇

The LUAS Red Line was thrown into chaos at rush hour this evening due to an incident at St James's. In order to find out what was going on with the service, the LUAS expected thousands of affected passengers to check their X account. It's ridiculous, enraging, and at this stage totally unacceptable
I posted on X for the first time In ages. Immediately deleted the post. Holy Christ. It’s bad bad. Like sticking your head in a wasps nest

Wondering how I did it?

I boiled water and added two tablespoons of vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice.

I soaked it for 20 minutes, and after that, it looked the same, so I bought a brand new one.

I actually gasped when I saw that this resource guide was put out there to help folks. *That's* what I'm talking about.

Librarians are the freaking best, y'all. Book it. Done.
Sometimes I think it’s going to be the librarians who will save us all.

I think we need to consider why people are turning to Chat GPT for solace instead of to other humans

I wonder if some people are feeling so alone because they are, in fact, NOT being seen or heard by other humans to anything like the degree they need to be

I think we need to start there

It has to be named after Maureen Sweeney, the Irish meteorologist who gave the Allies a critical weather report before D Day.

Irish aviation history and meteorological history are intimately linked, and we're a Republic - we don't name things after Taoisigh here (except in Cork).

I suggest….*wait for it*….a woman!

At this stage any woman tbh.
The Dáil has heard a suggestion that Dublin Airport be named after the former Taoiseach Sean Lemass.

Any counteroffers?

Just thinking that I’ve only ever heard projective identification spoken about in one direction.

Client - Therapist.

Never the other way.

Which, even if you accept its existence, does suggest the concept is being used defensively.
