The Dem Establishment and their corporate donors would rather see the country burn down than embrace actual reform and change.
History will judge Chuck Schumer as entirely ill-equipped for this moment. I try my best to see the good in our party leaders because I understand we're in uncharted territory, but it is beyond obvious he's the wrong person for the job.
The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

I’m not sure people outside the Twin Cites realize the prevalence and the fear ICE is causing in Twin Cities. They are dining undercover pretending to be couples at restaurants, they are going to businesses and checking the license plates of cars to find employees. Every public place is compromised.

GOOD. Unpopular opinion but idc, leave him alone. The show is finished (I know, I know), there's plenty of fan fiction AND other books out there. Artists retaining ownership, final say over canon of their work and their dignity is more important to me, personally, than having the end of the series.
George R.R. Martin has said that if he never completes Game of Thrones sequel Winds of Winter (or the book after that), there's no plan for anyone else to step in. Instead, his Song of Ice and Fire series simply "won't be finished."
