An implicit admission that the first-term attempt to repeal the ACA without any plan in place was a poor idea? You decide!
Roger Marshall on Republicans replacing the ACA: "It's gonna take us a while to figure out the right way to do it"

Amazing to me that we cannot concisely communicate the political impact of: Congress had extensive hearings last week on whether the water pressure is high enough in our showers and toilets, but not solve this problem.
Ossoff: "This is so much deeper than the politics. What does it say about the moral condition of this Congress that the thing that has them all tied up in knots is a very simple question: Should people's health insurance premiums go up double or triple? This is a policy choice."

Can’t wait until the IOC resurrects Avery Brundage to give POTUS the Olympics Peace Prize.

Again, the idea that even a scapegoat would be facing consequences is farfetched here. It cannot be SecDef because he has to go before Congress occasionally and it would be embarassing. Admiral is told to own up to it being his decision and is pardoned. POTUS says absolute right under Article 2
WAPO: “.. Officials in Congress and the Pentagon said Monday they are increasingly concerned that the Trump administration intends to scapegoat the military officer who directed U.S. forces to kill two survivors of a targeted strike ..”

This seems pretty clear to me. POTUS & SecDef are denying they ordered anything improper. To the extent an Admiral did? Pardon incoming. How dare we question that?

Wait. This is the painting POTUS “found”? It’s the official WH portrait of FDR. IT WAS IN BIDEN’S OVAL OFFICE!

Rep. Stefanik‘s campaign has to be madly texting people at the White House - ”ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” “GET HIM OUT OF THERE!” - to be fair, POTUS can turn on a dime but this cannot be what her campaign wanted to come out of this meeting….

This is true of course. But some important differences - keeping Trump’s taxes as a live issue never really made a dent in his approval ratings. This seems different.

Plus, this would be like Trump saying, you cannot see my taxes yet Hillary better show us her returns! She’s a crook.
Get ready to hear this spiel from Trump's circle as commonly as we used to hear "of course Trump will be happy to release his taxes, just as soon as the IRS completes its audit."
Everyone does know what's going on here, right? Should the Epstein evidence bill pass both the House and Senate, these criminals will say it can't be released because there is an active investigation. Never mind that a thorough investigation was completed, and the DOJ was prepared to try Epstein.

Recommend this article. I was under the impression that China was just banning soybean purchases. Not banning, it simply instituted tariffs. And, guess what, Chinese buyers are buying cheaper soybeans elsewhere. There are several econ lessons buried in here. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/25/b...
China Bought $12.6 Billion in U.S. Soybeans Last Year. Now, It’s $0.

this might be where I confess a feed of old “Jokers Wild“ episodes has captured my attention on YT.
I'm sorry, but Bluesky needs a LOT more weirdos talking about classic TV, older game shows, and network continuity/graphics from the 1970s to the mid-1990s. I know there's like seven of us, and I already follow those folks.
I'm sorry, but Bluesky needs A LOT more weirdos talking about Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, the Mandalorian & Grogu, Power Rangers and a zillion other legit awesome things that are well worth your attention.

On the other site, just saw a clip of Clay Travis explaining (hoping) that Disney is raked over the coals over its proposed acquisition of the NFL suite of broadcast stuff. If their late night stuff is so slanted, how are they going to be good on sports? Or words to that effect.

Pretty sure the President said he expects 2027 to be the big year for the U.S. Economy. 2027.

For those on this (and others) platform who have said that lionizing Gov Newsom is wrong/bad idea/objectionable, sounds like another blue state Governor is going to have a chance to show leadership
The State of Illinois at this time has received no requests or outreach from the federal government asking if we need assistance, and we have made no requests for federal intervention.

In a 1983 opinion by Ted Olson(!), DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel concluded that assigning JAG lawyers to serve as Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys violated a statute that bans military officers from exercising the duties of a civil office.

Then, Congress authorized it.

This is dumb—but legal.

Replace how? In what classroom is PBS being used today as a teaching tool?
The Trump administration is now seeking to replace PBS with “Prager University,” a far-right propaganda organization that isn’t actually a university.

One of their “kids videos” has Christopher Columbus telling them that slavery was “no big deal” and “better than being killed.”

I RT not because I think the “never innovate” shot is fair (show me policy innovations from the GOP pls) but because the tax idea strikes me as decent. It would, of course, be attacked as socialist by the GOP. But tax cuts as socialism? Seems like an interesting PR war to fight
Want to use rich people like me to your advantage? Incent us to help those who need it the most. Lower corp taxes for comps that pay a min of $25 per hour. Lower corp taxes if employees get stock at the same pct as the CEO.

Bottom up incentives work. Dems never innovate. They bitch

If the theory of the case is that, say, tariffs are borne by the EXPORTER in, say, India (which is the simplistic bs we hear) - this could only happen in the form of LOWER prices (to offset tariff checks which need to be paid by the USA importer).
