A message to all Democrats running for office in 2026, 2028, and beyond: The candidate who runs on a platform of holding this administration and the murderers they've unleashed on our street accountable to the fullest extent of the law will have my vote.

After illegally abducting Maduro, Trump has just sold $250M of Venezuela's oil to Vitol.

John Addison, a senior trader at Vitol who helped broker the deal, gave $6M to Trump's 2024 campaign.

Obstructing traffic doesn’t justify lethal force.

The agent's own video shows that he was to the side of Renee Good’s car when he fired his gun.

Multiple law enforcement officers have said those shots weren’t justified. This isn’t about vibes or politics—it’s about accountability. Investigate it.

On the 5th Anniversary of the failed January 6th insurrection attempt, we’re reminded how fragile democracy can be. We must remember the darkness of that day so it’s never repeated. As history is rewritten by some, we choose to speak the truth of what happened.

President Trump said on Saturday that Delcy Rodríguez was sworn in as Venezuela’s interim president and would act as a partner in letting the U.S. run the country. Less than two hours later, Rodríguez made clear she viewed the U.S. as an illegal invader that must be rejected.

Don’t forget that *Trump’s own lawyer’s argument* to the Supreme Court in the immunity case was that the check on the President using his immunity to order criminal acts was that those under him would not follow illegal orders. Now it’s a crime for lawmakers to remind servicemembers of that?
The President doesn't want you standing up and speaking out against him, so he's coming after me to intimidate all of us.

But I won't back down — and neither should you.

This is the risk that comes when deferring to make certain upgrades to the roster until the trade deadline vs. the offseason. Giving themselves some financial flexibility for in-season moves can be helpful but feels like a missed opportunity to add a more proven SP given the Cubs' prospect capital.
With trade deadline passed, Cubs additions are:
RHP Michael Soroka
RHP Andrew Kittredge
LHP Taylor Rogers
UT Willi Castro

Be interesting to hear Hoyer's thoughts soon on moves Cubs did/didn't make. But feels underwhelming given Cubs record, esp with what other NL teams (Phillies, Mets, Padres) did.
