Umgekehrt finde ich die Entwicklung im Gebiet zwischen der Börse und dem Kanal positiv, meine ersten Aufenthalte im Brüsseler „Zentrum“ in den 90ern und frühen 2000ern waren schauderhaft.
Ich finde es am Kanal interessant aber generell ist es ein Fall städteplanerischer Vernachlässigung. Die Stadtpolitik hatte jahrzehntelang nichts getan, weil die Stadteile jenseits des Kanals seit dem Industrieniedergang sehr stark migrantisch geprägt und mangels Wahlrecht keine Wähler „da waren“.
