European, woke, PPM 318.99, (now 421.08, 427 Jan 2025),against ridiculous inequality.
Trump casually shat (I can’t think of a better word) upon all NATO, those who died, who were injured, who supported them and their families and their broader countrymen and their governments. What a disgusting and wholly inadequate man.

Gravin Newson hit a bum note today. I assume he was trying to rile Trump. But his ‘speech’ was deeply offensive on multiple levels and he should have acknowledged that fact.

How dare Orange man suggest NATO wouldn’t step up. We did for 9/11 and Denmark lost more people per capita than US. He’s disgusting.

Absolutely, I open my phone with trepidation every morning.
When do we get one of these "nothing happens" decades I keep hearing about? Or even a month. I need some sleep.
There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen

I see the enshitification process is in full swing at Eurotunnel. No more 2 hour grace window, down to an hour. Pay extra to get a 4 hour window. BTW due to family emergency used Flexiplus and it was like the basic service back in the day!

NF won’t debate Polanski because like all bullies, he’s a massive coward as well as being one of the greatest assets to Russia than it’s ever had - Brexit weakened us and EU and Putin loves it.

You mean adding an unpopular politician who fiddled his taxes and claimed public money to heat his horses who stood down before the 2024 GE because the party he was in was so deeply unpopular didn’t help make Reform UK more popular?

I am shocked.

Shocked, I tell you.

Excellent as always. London is ace (although no means perfect) and isn’t being terrorised by a latter day Gestapo unlike America cities.
I regret to inform Leila Cunningham that Londoners do not need her “pity.”

What it needs is for fewer people to talk about it like it’s a haunted theme park - I live here, and it is, despite its issues, a fabulous place to be.

Indeed. Their subservient and servile behaviour just confirms his view that they’re weak and irrelevant.
I think European leaders in failing to condemn the US invasion of Venezuela out of some fear of provoking Trump’s ire are missing the point that (a) Trump clearly doesn’t care what they think anyway, (b) Trump couldn’t hold them in more contempt anyway. /1

Agree, Europe must ramp up support and marginalise Trump.
It's New Year, so time to look back and forward. These are 10 things I think we need to recognise in 2026. It’s a response to what I think are profoundly damaging mistaken assumptions I’ve heard and read from practitioners, journalists, and analysts in 2025. Warning: very long🧵

Lovely FU from the three times elected Muslim mayor of London.
Just a gif of the EU flag projected onto the London Eye as part of Mayor Sadiq Khan's London's New Year's Day fireworks 😀

The UK is £90 billion a year poorer because of Brexit i.e. tax rises and spending cuts, it's absurd

One day soon the madness will end and the UK will #RejoinEU ☺️

She committed grave crimes and we should have faith in our own judicial system to punish those crimes.

We should not dump her on another country where those people suffered terribly because of the crimes she endorsed and participated in- when that country wishes to deport her. It’s immoral.
A vulnerable child was groomed and trafficked and then subjected to the most shocking experiences imaginable including the deaths of her babies.

Instead of taking responsibility the British establishment stripped her of her citizenship and dumped her like old rubbish.

London is a great, beautiful multi cultural and diverse city where great things happen. Of course, Trump and his backers can’t stand it. It negates their toxic rhetoric.
The FT notes that delusional claims about London from Trump, Musk and others are having a reputational impact.

The paper points out the capital's murder rate is a third of that in Berlin, a quarter of New York's, and 5% of that in Washington DC

I think it is really important that the Government make it very clear that Trump should stay away from the BBC. Despite its faults, it is one of the last media organisations with global credibility that isn’t under the control of a few billionaires. Of course, they want to see it vanquished.
