Hello, my name is Jon Parrish. I've written a few comic series over the years and even been published a couple times. I've recently made two of them available on my website as well as a couple short comics.

I sometimes see people who say they block people who have replies turned off and I think 'do they have replies turned off or just limited to people who follow them and vice versa?' because a lot of people still don't understand how this site works.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

The Civility Technicality is the most bitchass lane of all. It’s going around trying to agitate, trying to get punched, trying to goad you into righteous anger so that they can gain publicity or virality in order to advance bad faith agendas. They lie or abuse speech & social order to manipulate.

I imagined someone saying "I would've voted for Trump a third time" and ended up imagining a reverse Get Out where it's a white guy meeting his Black girlfriend's conservative family. Very different dynamic.

I feel about the ‘shoulda voted’ folk too. If only they viewed everything they do as votes & not just that l’il limited ballot the real decision makers hand them every few years.

Let me be problematic for a moment. Sometimes decent people are decent people solely because they got popped in the mouth and learned where the humanity guardrails are. White supremacy removes those guardrails. Lax gun laws remove those guardrails. Absurd wealth removes those guardrails.
