As ever, straight talker #TimWilliams dismantling many myths around housing supply that so distort our politics & society.
As practiced in Europe, Govts must step up & build public housing themselves - stop pretending anything else will work

The UK and Aus ‘inspire’ each other on housing failure. Both need to remember public housing works
The housing crisis is international. It is not confined to Australia or New South Wales, though, from the hysteria of NSW property lobbyists, you would assume that the problem is caused by public sect...

It’s called corruption, and someone in authority should look into it.

He is a monster.
Today is the start of 2 days of meetings of RFK Jr.'s ACIP, where vaccines skeptics outnumber actual scientists and medial experts. Their target: the Hep B vaccine, which has a ~90-98% (after 3 doses) effectiveness rate in preventing infection for up to 30 yrs.

Goddamn annoying when the Ai bubble bursts, it's not normies who benefit in any way.... okay maybe a glut of Herman Miller chairs. But the computing hardware that will be liquidatated will end up cheap for the big tech companies to do dumb or basic shit.
This is like if Tyson stopped selling consumer chicken. RAM is about to cost as much as a brand new pc. The cost of everything from tablets, to phones, to laptops will skyrocket. All because AI data centers are consuming all the available RAM they can get.

Crucial memory will soon be a memory itself as Micron abandons consumers in favor of AI data centers
The RAM crisis is just getting started.

There’s also 0 evidence that Waymos are sufficiently replacing human car trips. The data from Uber and Lyft’s similar rollout suggests that Waymo might actually be replacing transit/walking/biking trips more than *half* the time. That’s a lot of extra cars on the road for minimal returns in safety.
