It turns out the most portentous episode of Star Trek was the one where all the grownups disappeared and society was ruled by the whims of volatile, capricious adolescents

I text "congrats!" to people sometimes just to see the fireworks. Just to feel something

I suspect this will become my default mantra over the next few seasons as I dutifully watch every episode
I can’t really recommend it at this juncture but I am watching the next ep

Not many people know this but if you steal Usain Bolt's gold medal from off of his chest you become the fastest person on Earth. You have to catch him first, though, either by running faster than him or by using your army

Feeling powerless? Like nothing you could do could possibly have any impact? Try eating a cheeseburger! They taste good and you need to eat to live anyway

DS9 is like pizza: even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
There's been a lot of bad Star Trek over the years, there's been some decisions here to lean into that vibe. I feel like we should have just kept making DS9 and never stopped doing that

I feel like Starfleet Academy is the first Star Trek that is actively trying to make you angry, intentionally, looking back over its shoulder every few minutes to see if it's working. Perfect for teens

ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it.

We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

Thinking of starting a church of heat death. Like, of the universe. Not actively trying to bring it about, just hanging out and waiting for it in eager anticipation

It's hard not to look at the current situation and be filled with despair and hopelessness, of course, but it's important to remember that eventually we will all be dead and feel nothing at all. The sweet numb bliss of oblivion awaits us

Pro tip: if you're gonna die, don't die at 68. Wait an extra year. The replies will be better

Needs to be stressed that although Scott Adams died, Dilbert is still very much alive and he’s out there somewhere right now, scared

As he lay dying, Scott Adams professed that he had stolen the idea for Dilbert all along, and that the entire work and revenue and copyright rightfully belonged to original creator @mattielubchansky.com

Dilbert enters the public domain on January 1, 2097, in case you were wondering how long it'll be until you can make your own shitty comics

Trump didn't even know he was a cartoonist. What a legacy
Trump: "Sadly, the Great Influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away. He was a fantastic guy, who liked and respected me when it wasn’t fashionable to do so. He bravely fought a long battle against a terrible disease. My condolences go out to his family, and all of his many friends and listeners."
