“You tried to disappear me, but I'm here in the halls, advocating for myself and actually speaking about myself,” Khalil said, noting the absence of Palestinian voices within a place so determined to dictate Palestinian fates. “So I'm here to actually defend myself and to advocate for my people…”

I'm a US citizen and a veteran. But it doesn't matter. No one deserves to be treated this way. It's inhumane and it's wrong. I hope no one goes through what I did. I want to do as much as I can so this doesn't happen to anyone.

A photo of George Retes next to his car that has a sticker IRAQ COMBAT VETERAN with these words below:

I'm a US citizen and a veteran. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't make a difference what your skin color or religious belief is. We are all human. No one deserves to be treated this way. It's inhumane what they do and it's wrong. I hope no one goes through what I did. I want to do as much as I can so this doesn't happen to anyone one else.

…and that’s exactly why we must dismantle it now. Organize to defend your neighbors. Fight for local sanctuary policies. The deportation machine only wins if we stop resisting. [2/2].

[1/2] Trump firing immigration judges is an attempt to convert our immigration system into a deportation pipeline. The pretense of “justice” was always thin in immigration courts, but now? The U.S. government wants only cages, not judges, counsel, nor fairness. But the system isn’t yet fully built…

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

Worth flagging that that 700% number is total BS and should be ignored.

1. They are coding non-assaults as assaults (as in Lander’s specific case).

2. They are greatly expanding their enforcement operations, which, numbers go up when you do that.

3. They themselves are assaulting people.

“Secret police” are your words, not mine. Seems like you’ve been giving them a lot of thought.

Unlike NYPD, your agents don’t identify themselves & wear masks that cover their faces. Now they ignore judges’ rulings, too.

What law enforcement agents are supposed to uphold … is the rule of law.

249 years ago today, a group of genocidal slave-owning settlers declared their ‘independence.’

Without irony, they decried the British treating them like slaves, and demanded freedom

History and morality have rendered their verdict:

Humanity needs a Declaration of Independence from the US Empire
