The DOJ is more than three weeks late in delivering the Epstein Files. In those three weeks:

- Trump declared himself acting President of Venezuela
- ICE murdered a woman in Minnesota
- Trump is preparing an invasion of a NATO ally
- Trump initiated a criminal investigation of Fed Chair Powell

The killing of a Minneapolis woman by an ICE officer has sparked nationwide protests across the U.S.

If you're protesting, here's how to tell if law enforcement is armed with less-lethal munitions. Remember: "Less lethal" means "still deadly."

Less-lethal weapons are meant to bridge the gap between verbal warnings and lethal force, enabling law enforcement to meet threats with a weapon that hurts but shouldn’t kill or cause severe injury.

I’m coming to this one late, but what a stellar longform feature on an overlooked sports journalist. @emilysohn.bsky.social’s @longlead.com story on SI’s Virginia Kraft is great. thecatch.longlead.com
Sports Illustrated's Forgotten Pioneer
In the Mad Men era of magazine journalism, Virginia Kraft was a globe-trotting writer and a deadly shot with a rifle. Why hasn't anyone heard of her?

Also: Everyone knows Vladimir Putin was an integral part of the New England Patriots Super Bowl 39 win, and of course he deserves to have a ring for it.

When covering Minneapolis protests after the police killing of George Floyd in 2020, journalist @killermartinis.bsky.social was shot in the face and blinded with a foam-tipped bullet.

She settled with the city after it promised to reform how it uses less-lethal munitions. They're still used today.

Today Iran turned off its internet amid widespread protests in the country. It's not the first time a country has used an internet blackout to try to prevent protests — something that happened in January 2011 during protests calling for the resignation of Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak from power.

A friendly reminder that no ICE officer has ever been killed in the line of duty in a hostile incident.

Being an elementary schoolchild in America is far more deadly and dangerous than being an ICE officer.
If you’re scared of a Honda Pilot driving less than 5 miles an hour, with its wheels pointing away from you, you should not be working in law-enforcement…

You shouldn’t have a gun. You shouldn’t have a badge. You should find a new line of work.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

Any Republican with a snowball's chance in hell of being re-elected will need to vote in favor of her impeachment.
