This is so bad, I couldn't believe it someone could be this devoid of cultural awareness as a journalist. I had to watch the video myself.

Warning, it's 3:44 long but FEELS like eons of her saying absolutely nothing of substance, while simultaneously saying something incredibly, stunningly dumb.

This field is on land that was given to the federal government in 1888 specifically to house veterans. Meanwhile, in 2025, Los Angeles is the homeless veteran capital of America.
UCLA hasn't paid rent for its baseball facilities on the West Los Angeles VA property, despite the rent already being massively under market. The lack of payment is the university’s latest in decades of alleged wrongdoings on the Veterans Affairs campus.

You just know if the president actually saw this, his thoughts would be that if they could make something called Trumpcare, it would have a 94% favorability.
A Fox News poll this week found Obamacare is more popular than Trump, either party and congressional leaders. Only 3 points below Fox's all-time high for the law reached in 2023 static.foxnews.com/foxnews.com/...

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

There's a lot of bad news out there today. How about some feel-good journalism? This piece by @sarahnrogers.bsky.social is an absolute delight.

And I'm not just saying that because I edited it. I'm saying it because it's a feast for the eyes, and a salve for the soul.

As an editor, if this draft hit my desk:

1. I'd make this edit: "Olivia Nuzzi SAYS SHE loved him." It's literally a journalism cliche that if your mother says she loves you, check it out. We don't KNOW she loved him. She said it — that's it.

2. Then I'd throw the file in the trash.
