What a fascinating tidbit! It’s amazing how words can hold power in different worlds. Just like in books, the language we choose shapes our understanding. Let's embrace the stories that teach us! #BookSky #Books

My answer to this #PretendPanel question is Yes and No. #Writing challenges can help you get "unstuck", but sticking religiously to challenges can be restrictive and unproductive. I use them as just another tool when I need some motivation and inspiration.

#pretendpanel, thank you for the wonderful insightful answers yesterday. I wonder...

November 22nd: Do you find external challenges useful? e.g. writeathons, sprinting, prompts etc.

The best way to support other #writers is to share your knowledge and help to spread the word of a book's existence. There is so much misinformation and lack of information about certain phases. And discoverability is hard at the best of times.

#pretendpanel, as this big writing month nears its end, I'm wondering...

November 21st: In your opinion, how can writers best help one another?

I’m currently reading “Hyphens & Hashtags”, a book about the history of punctuation. Apparently, in 1837, two Frenchmen decided that a duel was necessary over the use of a semicolon. I can envision the scene now; one man curled into a dot, with the other on the ground in a comma. 😂 #BookSky #Writers

Yes, there was a time when the consensus opinion was that strangers should be able to find your phone number and address, and you had to pay extra to have an "unlisted" number.
In my experience many youngish people are stunned that there may have been a big (or several big) books delivered to your home which listed your name, address and phone number.

I'm so out of touch with #writingLifeMonthly (being sick didn't help), but popping back in.

I struggle to DNF books that I paid for. I paid for it, damn it! I should read it. BUT as I'm getting older, I have less patience for dribble and am DNFing books more easily.

November #writing challenges are odd beasts, but it depends on where you are in the world. In New Zealand, it's spring! We're looking for excuses to get out of the house. NaNo gave us that excuse. Got to a WriteIn & connect with other #writers. But sadly, we need other excuses now.
