ICE agents don’t view themselves as bound by law, and we have neither democracy nor law if they never face justice and accountability.

Y'know, when six justices moved on from adjudication to refashion themselves as a super-legislature — rewriting laws and the Constitution itself — they may have doomed themselves to public popularity and trust as abysmal as our legislature typically enjoys.

I have great respect for the work that @rns.org does and that of @bmietana.bsky.social but this framework is offensive. A less religious America is not a problem. A country where some Christians persecute their brethren in Christ for pigmentation or documentation is the problem here.

Either option=he needs to go
The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.

That 1/5 of Trump TX #Latino voters having regrets sounds legit since these are probably not partisans who voted on anti-incumbency basis.

Just got an alert that ICE is showing up today in Park Slope. I have a feeling that their presence is going to grow quickly in retaliation for Mamdani’s win.

Chicagoans have learned a lot. I have to think ppl have put together good resources to post about how to effectively resist them?

At a 76% clip, secular voters delivered 1/3 of the Mamdani vote in NYC.
