I find myself thinking of what it took for Brazil to charge, convict, & jail Bolsonaro & the other coup-plotters. Incessant work & pressure, challenging historical precedent & against steep odds. Ensuring that multiple institutions stood firm (& continue to do so), & counteracting backlash efforts.
This is good because it shows a whiff of accountability, which is a necessary condition for democratic governance. But we can't become complacent. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Daughter had dentist today.
Happy to report everything looks great.
The dentist: "mom, you're doing a great job". (I still help my daughter, otherwise the brushing/flossing wouldn't be optimal).
When you have a disabled child, you gauge how much they can really do by themselves and work from there.

I'm an early tulip adopter. I feel close to the ground on how much potential is in the tulip to transform our economy. But I can't help but notice that some people are not investing in tulips or even seem interested in buying any bulbs. Don't they know that tulips are the currency of the future?
