Hydration breaks or cooling breaks or whatever you want to call them aren’t completely new at this point, and when they’re done logically dependent on weather conditions they are a net good for the sport. But requiring them in all games? Even ones played in an air conditioned indoor stadium?! FOH
News: Every 2026 World Cup match will feature two "hydration breaks," no matter the weather.
Each half will pause for exactly three minutes midway through.
It's a player welfare measure. It also has sporting & commercial implications.

Norwich look significantly better under Clement than Manning in possession and generating quality chances, so it’s not all bad.. Unfortunately some of the same issues remain: sloppy individual errors, terrible moments of defending. Injuries a major worry still, badly need fullbacks healthy. #ncfc

Chelsea have been total dogshit against Leeds today but it should be said that Darren England’s refereeing showing has been worse. Utterly revolting, entirely inconsistent. Can very much understand the frustrations out there. #CFC

This Chelsea Arsenal game has been fairly atrocious, if I wanted to watch a 90 minute fight there seem to be plenty of those these days but I thought I’d signed up to watch football 🤷🏻♂️

I made a Basque cheesecake again and I think this may be my best one yet. Really happy with how the texture turned out! And the cranberry glaze that we have goes really well with it (and with sausage cheeseballs and a bunch of other things)
