One of my proudest moments was when I got AZ policy changed to ensure people with intellectual & developmental disabilities received priority for COVID vaccines. This has been promised, but was quietly rescinded. Helping 42k ppl access life saving vaccines. Higher rate uptake than nat'l avg.

Big tobacco was utterly evil. Still is, but I feel like they have less influence now than they did at their peak, in part because their lies were exposed.

This is true. As a mother with a child who had a health condition that made proper nutrition difficult, I did everything I could to get her fed. Starving babies absolutely let you know they need more. To the extent there was ignorance, it was willful. No more children should suffer.
We actually should not have empathy for people who subjugate children to their own torturous personal beliefs. These children suffered just as much pain and permanent disability as if they had been severely physically abused. This is not an innocent mistake. A functioning society cannot allow this.

Vaccines have been tested. Repeatedly. There is no question, NONE, that the Hep B vaccine is 100% safer than Hep B infection.

As expected, ACIP will officially be voting today to change the recommendation for the birth dose of Hepatitis B vaccine to a process that is simply going to make pediatric Hep B cases increase.
