Well I hope so, but when I applied for a customer service job recently I did a battery of psychometric testing before I even got assessed in person. Nowadays if you’re job hunting you get assessed by a chat bot

Man, I wish various counterculture heroes hadn’t popularized “ironic” Nazi shit. These white guys (and gals) get away with so much because of this obfuscation. Being able to hide behind “shock value” and “dark humor” has been the source of so much harm.

Today much of Aotearoa faces down a true storm with red wind warnings here in Waitaha. Strong winds have pushed alpine rain and winds down onto the plains. Nothing to do with climate change of course

Diwali/Tihar at the rest home I visit. A cultural display from the Indian and Nepalese staff and nursing students. Residents loved it. Seeing familiar people in new ways, dancing and food, knowing that staff come from somewhere and have lives not in uniform. No photos: privacy
