In some ways Labor are worse than the Coalition on climate change. They aren’t ignorant buffoons like their opponents: they know the damage they’re doing, and they do it anyway. And then they lie shamelessly about how they are addressing climate change, and ppl lap it up. The hypocrisy is sickening.

There's polling today that suggests on current numbers One Nation could win 30+ seats. Here's a quick thread of why I think this is *very* unlikely to actually pan out

Now, a federal election probably won't be until early 2028, and a lot could change, but here's why I'm not too worried now

ON have had a bit more success winning seats in multi-member/statewide upper-house contests, but that detail about 1998 Qld is important: ON simply cannot retain members. Of the 43 people to ever sit in a parliament for ON, only *seven* have served a full term, election to election, as an ON member

It really is fucking unbelievable how big the evacuation zone is for the Otways fire is.

For those not familiar with Victoria, the map below shows about a third (...?) of the Western Vic's whole coastline. The "evacuate immediately" region in the middle is about 60km x 40km. 😟

And now Anthony Albanese has invited the president of Israel to Australia

Okay fellow Aussies, just so you know, fabricating and hiding 15 pipe bombs around a city isn’t terrorism.

We only save that word for truly unforgivable, heinous acts like peacefully protesting against an ongoing genocide.
