Hey, I know books are expensive and money is tight right now.

But if there's a brand new book you really wanna read — including my own Lessons in Magic and Disaster — you can help get the book into way more hands by requesting it from your local library!

It's easy! Check your library's website.

Seeing pictures of an abandoned tamale cart in Pilsen where ICE took a tamale street vendor. Those photos of left behind carts are so haunting. Community members disappeared. Not just vendors but people who have long standing relationships with the community and people.

Blessed are the frogs, for they keep making authoritarians look incredibly stupid

Printing presses kept their letters in cases.

Capital letters went in the upper case.
Smaller letters went in the lower case.

This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’

Ok, but what did we call them before the invention of the printing press?

MAJUSCULE and minuscule.

She’s a ten but she’s been staring from the tree line for hours. You sometimes think shes left but then, no, she’s still there, shadowed by pines, her image mirage-like, flickering. When you point her out to a friend, they do not see her. She leaves three stones inscribed with runes in the ferns.
