Artists became so afraid of the 'getting ghosted by the algorithm if I post a link' that as a result it feels nigh impossible to actually -find- a link to anything else they may have their work at

Sometimes I think the advice 'make it easy for people to find your work' is too obvious, then after an art show I'll try to look up artist names for the stickers I got & it turns out their website is completely wrong or it's just instagram w/ no other links & you have to log in to see their posts

A peek at GAME FREAK (Yep, *that* Game Freak!) tips 'zine issue 22 from 1985 where the solution to arcade Time Gal is lovingly and painstakingly illustrated and written out scene-by scene. 💜

All right, just turned in the last strips of my second year on FLASH GORDON. That's 730 installments in the bag -- appearing in a rough average of 1.5 panels per strip, I've drawn Flash about 1,095 times. Still takes me a couple tries to get his hair right. Tomorrow we start on year three ⚡

Because I'm quite possibly the only English speaker here who owns the stair stepper that game is built for, I'll just say: that game doesn't fuck around. If you wanna enjoy the PS1 environmental design, be prepared to build up a serious sweat because that thing is tuned to have *serious* resistance.

-Mimimi is pretty much just Rarity from MLP, so of course she's incredibly fun and a blast
-As a bangs lover, I'm surprisingly neutral on Meme, but I do think she's very sweet. I think she's hornier then anyone gives her credit for, including herself.

My friend & I, as well as a lot of other folks I know who are western readers of Umineko, all chalked up the epitaph as 'yeah this requires cultural and kanji knowledge that we just don't have', so you aren't dumb or alone in not being able to solve it! We all can theorize on the culprit at least 😅

also, a LOT of public libraries had Friends of the Library groups that have a used bookstore, and many also sell DVDs and blu-rays that we donated. so not only can you get something for yourself, but the money you pay goes back into your library to fund programs and services.

If you are cancelling streaming services it's worth noting that we are currently living in a golden age of thrift store DVDs. Lot's of people have liquidated their collections because of streaming or because of the switch to bluray...

I feel like the cape comics I have read have been older stuff vs. anything current, but Princess Amethyst of Gemworld is what a girly tween chapter book loving girl in the 2000s would have devoured if I knew of it, 1980s Teen Titans is fun, The OG Plasticman from the 1940s is great
