Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, I hope you are warm and full and in good company 🦃

My good thing to be thankful for today is that my boy called home, haven't spoken to him for almost three weeks so am so happy to speak to him 🥰 He seems busy and happy and looks well.

Thankful November 26th, went for a long run in the dark last night, and am very thankful for my trail shoes that kept me upright and moving even across very sticky, muddy fields.

The OBR says that the VAT charge on private schools has raised more money than expected because fewer pupils have gone into the state sector

Never believe the Tories and their media.

A couple of days of thankfulness to catch up on. Monday's good thing was getting Poppy the dog back from the vee eee tee where she had been because she ate something she shouldn't have and had to be kept in for observation. I missed her and v glad to get her home again.

There were lots of good things yesterday (23rd) to be thankful for, but the highlights were seeing a kingfisher doing a long pass over the lake where I was swimming, and a delicious Sunday lunch at the Golden Ball where number 2 son works. They let him take his break and eat with us which was great!

Laying in bed listening to the rain, I was slightly regretting saying I would swim today, but by the time we got to the lake it was glorious! A tad nippy with a water temperature of 8° but lovely to be there.

Thankful November 18th. There was snow! ❄️ It didn't last long and didn't stick but big fat flakes made my inner child delighted for a while.

Thankful November days: 17th was a Monday so I am thankful for coffee getting me through the working day.

18th saw the 1st frost in the garden. This makes me happy as it marks the turn of the season - when I was a gardener it marked a change of jobs and usually an end to weeding for a few months.

Thankful thing for Sunday 16th November, went on a bike ride to Windsor and back with James. It was around 33k, a confidence booster for a possible bike holiday next year. It went well, apart from one of James's pedals falling off every now and then. Happy we didn't get rained on!

Thankful 14th November, the good thing for yesterday is that after a long day at work I got home in the dark and rain to discover that J had taken the dog out already and I could just get straight into my pyjamas.

Thankful 13th Nov: husband booked dinner at the restaurant at Westminster City training college - the fine dining Taste of Japan menu cooked by Y13 kids. It was phenomenal food. I'm thankful that J booked it and grateful to all the enthusiastic and brilliant kids that cooked and served our meal.

12th Nov I held out in case I got to see aurora but no luck! Tricky thinking of something from a day when nothing much happened so going to go with being grateful I can get out and run. For ages my body didn't let me and even though yesterday's run felt slow and ordinary I am grateful that I could.

Thankful Nov 11th Grateful for the moving remembrance ceremony organised at school, and grateful for the respectful way over 1200 students take part. The choir's rendition of Abide With Me was beautiful and I was impressed by the iron nerve of the student trumpeters who sounded the last post.

I think I need to stop watching the news. Everything is fucking ridiculous. Can we not just stop all the bollocks and just get on with fixing all the broken shit? JFC everything is SO depressing.

The BBC is in crisis in the same way that GB News would be if you put Owen Jones on the board armed with a veto and plenty of coffee.

Thankful November
9th: I'm grateful I had the time and space to work on sewing projects this weekend so I could make a top I'm really happy with.

10th at school made some cool things, I'm glad that my boss and a governor at school cares about us enough to do these occasional fun activities with us😍

Anyone know why Vinted has scrambled all the sizing? It's now impossible to find anything! Had a few dresses on the marked as size 12 and now all showing as 16-18 so clearly cannot trust what comes back in searches. What a mess!

8th Nov Good Thing - weekend sunshine to enjoy. Ran with dog who did not want to cooperate in a sunflower field pic so faked an injury. Stopped Strava and began to carry her home. After 100m she wanted down and trotted off with no sign of the "Broken my leg" limp from before. Good job she's cute
