So what you're saying is, I should get out of bed and go for a run because it's frosty and beautiful outside? Fine.

Amazing that the piece on BBC news criticising people working two civil service jobs (example chapbeas getting about 16k full time) didn't mention 9 jobs Nigel!

I am sorry, but I need these thoughts out of my head.

However, they do not need to be in your head too.

They are the dark nightmares of Cassandra, looking at the USA and, by extension, warning all of us.

Walking round Sainsbury's me had lots of good ideas for what to make for dinner tonight. She was vastly overestimating the energy this evening's me has.

The best way of describing someone who’s all talk and no action that I’ve ever heard in the UK, by far, is “they’re all wardrobe and no Narnia.”

Had a very stressful day at work with some very bad news for me that is very good news for someone else. Smiling is exhausting when inside you are going fuckfuckfuck.

Sent him a friendly encouraging text yesterday. He hasn't even read it, let alone replied! Finding this term much harder than the last one, I guess because it isn't new and exciting now, and I am much less worried about him, and he's just gone.
My 18 year old told me he is really looking forward to getting back to uni at the weekend. I am simultaneously delighted that he is so happy there and outraged that he isn't bereft at being ripped from the bosom of his family. Couldn't he at least have *pretended* to be a bit upset?

The news on the third Monday of January is usually a load of nonsense about Blue Monday. I miss those days.

Can doing weight and core exercise really be good for me if I spend many days a week unable to laugh/cough or with painful movements? I'm pretty consistent so have had DOMS several days every week for the last 2 years, do you ever get past getting it? #FitnessSky

I'm 52 and still basically read aloud to myself in my head, I can't understand how reading is possible without doing this? Always been jealous of those "I read a whole book in a day" folks.

In true "you only regret the runs you don't do" style, I feel bad for not running tonight. Ok so it's a bit wet out, I should still have gone. OTOH my knees are still sore from the long run on NYE so could probably with a day off but still feeling that whiff of failure. #RunSky

Perhaps if our government crawled out of the cesspit that is twitter they would see how people (as opposed to Musk and Putin's bots) feel about their cowardly response to a dictator bombing another country for its resources?

I remember when they were saying they were powerless to return a man they illegally sent to an El Salvador gulag because it would violate that country's national sovereignty.

If my government doesn't condemn this invasion of a sovereign power, the kidnap of their leader, the theft of their natural resources, all on the flimsiest of premises, then they are a bunch of cowardly quisling fucks. This is horrific.
