I feel like I’ve been saying this very thing and it’s as if I am spitting in the wind - why is this very thing being ignored? Gavin Newsom and Gov. Pritzker have been calling attention to it - but why can’t people call 911? That’s the first thing I would do.

If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.

So they tanked the bill. Make no mistake, Republicans did not care to fix the problem. And now the cruelty is all out for everyone to see. If you support masked men terrorizing immigrants and now making Americans “prove their citizenship” you are morally bankrupt and are against the Constitution.

This is definitely one that a LOT of Americans did not pay attention to before the 2024 election. A bipartisan bill sponsored by one of the most conservative members of Congress was tanked because Trump threatened congressional Rs not to pass the bill (bribed them?) and wanted to run on immigration🧵
