By my observation, return-to-office mandates have largely been marked by failed climate controls, spotty wifi, and "more important" people hogging meeting rooms, causing chaos to meeting schedules.

This is supposed to be better than working from home?

There's a consistent pattern in the people who complain the most about #ASE: ENTITLEMENT.

They feel they're more important, for whatever reason, than everyone else, and therefore should not be held accountable to the same standard as everyone else.

Someone suggested that I should be listening to drivers' experience regarding automated speed cameras.

Counterpoint: How about some advice from someone who has never received an automated speeding ticket?

Our "tough on crime", "jail not bail" #onpoli government suddenly turns tail when it's their own cabinet repeatedly getting done for breaking the law.

Canada post is a SERVICE.

Services are not profit-making ventures, they are necessary assistance provided to people BECAUSE THEY ARE UNPROFITABLE.

The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

With Canada Post on track to lose $1.5 billion in 2025 and contract discussions between the union and the corporation stalled, the federal government is embarking on a modernization plan it says will ...

French President Macron speaking on German reunification:

“We were very naive to leave our public space to social media networks controlled by US or Chinese companies that don’t share our interests and not interested in survival of our democracies.”

At this point, this is what it takes I think. It's how change happened in the netherlands. There are consequences to detached politics.

Call me ghoulish, but I think somebody ought to follow him around to every event and press conference, carrying big smiling pictures of Ontarians who have died on our roads.

Everyone should write their mayor and councillor across Ontario. they need to hear from you. They are often just windsocks and a few constituents making noise will get their attention

The speeders have their attention currently.

Take a few minutes and look up who yours are.

I can't find a statement from my mayor so I have written to him. Hope he signs on.

Quite predictably, the loudest opponents of speed cameras are the most likely to not want to slow down for school zones. And, will make ridiculous reasons why they should not have to slow down.

After spending some time driving on camera-enforced motorways with strict real-time variable speed limits, I'm convinced that the average #Ontario driver is a whiny entitled brat.

I never want to see another human trot across a crosswalk, hurry their stroller/kids/mobility device or rush a senior resident through an intersection or any road. It’s ridiculous, like we’ve been gifted some incredible act of patience and kindness from our auto overlords.

For the first time ever, London has met legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.

When I became Mayor, we were told it would take 193 years. We did it 184 years earlier than expected.

So, I've switched browsers to @brave.com, turned off Alexa and my location sharing, and have re-subscribed to @surfshark.bsky.social.

And my suggestion to anyone, where feasible, is to not share anything you don't have to. The "value exchange" of data sharing is no longer in your favour.

My wife spent a whole day browsing different airlines to,
to different destinations, on different dates, to create an indecisive persona to get the best deal. Never mentioning in the presence of her phone, with her digital assistant listening, that she was planning a flight.

I know there's been some speculation on this for a little while. But, I'm now noticing that data sharing has become predatory. It's no longer about offering better deals in exchange for data, but rather, exploiting habits for monetary benefit. And I'm noticing it in prices when shopping online.
