Kitty in pfp is my late Momo. I just adopted a dilute torbie named Gabi. All is in flux! Queer, disabled, nontheist (ex-vangelical), nerdy, depressive. Unusual likes: early music, black licorice, Tarkovsky movies.

Oops. Forgot to take my hair down and manage it. My therapist gets the fluffy hair tonight.

@czedwards.bsky.social was right. Great story!
When I was 23 I was living in Indianapolis. My girlfriend lives in Pittsburgh. Every other weekend or so, I'd drive my 1981 Chevette to Richmond, IN (about as far as that car would willingly go), meet a friend who also had an SO in PGH, so we could rent a better car and go. Anyways...

I want to go wash my hair, but my feet are kinda calm now and I don't especially want to move or take off my socks.

Uggghhhhh, I was going to listen to my history book and color, but I persuaded myself that I want clean hair for therapy. Ridiculous.

I've saved this one for a good "Oh *really*? 😒😒😒" mood.
The Morning Monty has been promised more sunbeams today, but the fog has not yet burned off - and he is skeptical.

The Dark Muscle Sect, hahaha!

(One of the cats in Meow Tower just told me about meowtial artists who lost their way, becoming obsessed with protein shakes.)

I love that Gabi is very curious and nosy, but I have to say she scared me a little when she shoved her face into the brownie pan. Good grief!

She didn't try to eat brownies, just sniffed like crazy, as if she's a bomb-detecting rat. 🤨

The objection was drafted by Prairie Rivers Network. WNIJ’s Jess Savage sat down with Director of Water Policy Robert Hirschfeld to learn more about why they wrote to the EPA about the ruling.

#Caturday Gabi

When I looked over, she had her head buried in the purple blanket. I don't have my glasses on, so I just saw a stripey cat body. It was a little creepy! Good job, Gabs.

Waning crescent moon & earthshine @5:51 today.
This shows earth's (albedo), which is brightest in spring due to snow/ice & caused by sunlight reflecting off earth's surface and then back onto the Moon, making the "dark side" softly visible (helps scientists study Earth's atmosphere and exoplanets).

If we choose not to make some deep changes to some things -- hard barriers to abrogation of treaties and alliances, just for one -- there's no reason to trust the US ever again.
There’s a certain strain of institutionalist that doesn’t seem to realize that even if some miracle passes and we get a new admin in a few years that’s not more of the Sixth Reich, the US is never, ever, going to regain a foothold as global hegemon given how much capacity and trust has been nuked.

I crashed for about 7 hours. I had a pretty messed up, stressful dream (series of dreams), and I woke up with this in my head. Or a clip of it going 'round.

Lol, my brain was fully tricked into stopping the itching all over just by me taking a big fexofenadine tablet 5 minutes ago.

I was out of my generic Allegra for like 4 days and I didn't start itching all over until last night. Phewwwwwww. Somehow escaped several days of cranky itching.
