Amazon/Microsoft/Google/Apple all have very high net favs, Nvidia is unknown, Tesla is unpopular, Meta is somewhere in between

"Big tech companies" in general underperform the average of specific tech companies and are narrowly underwater - but still much more popular than both political parties

Related to Will's point but someone just conveniently made a large metro area graphic on r/dataisbeautiful

Most of what Will recommends is a "medium size city." And they're great places! www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeau...

much more realistic to me that he just loses the self-driving battle to Waymo
dude built a 2 million units/year automotive business, and then leveraged it all into all-in bets on the fourth-ranked chatbot and a robot that will never work... when the AI bubble pops he'll be in the weakest position, without a source of cashflow to fall back on, and then the unwind will begin

if it takes a silly study about Batman to get people to entertain the idea that enforcement authorities reduce social disorder, hey, I'll take it!
"the researchers had a woman who visibly appeared pregnant enter a busy train, and observed how often people offered to give up their seats. They then repeated this scenario with...a man dressed as Batman entered from another" door futurism.com/health-medic...
Scientists Discover That People Act Way Better When Batman Is Present
It turns out that the mere presence of a guy dressed as Batman is enough to turn dead inside commuters into momentary altruists.

Is turkey actually that rare? Isn't it like the second most popular deli meat? (This speaks to the impracticality of roasting a whole bird, but people love a turkey sandwich!)
I think this is unfair to turkey. turkey is good but hard to cook well because it is so damn big. turkey *parts* are great but lack the esthetic appeal of a centerpiece bird.
it is tired to the point of cliche to say if turkey was good, people would make it more than once a year. but it is understated that at least one American explodes every Thanksgiving in a brave attempt to make the main dish more palatable

I had a popular account with a valuable audience and my Twitter payout was $80 a month-ish, to the point where I disabled monetization instead of uploading my ID. Payouts are only material if you live in a developing country, so “guy in Nigeria posting right-wing Amerislop” has taken over the site.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

The creatine is good, everything else is bad

There was just that analysis finding that vegan protein powder is just like, really really awful for you
And yes, the swag bags. Attendees received MAHA-branded tote bags with:

- Packets of creatine
- Beef tallow potato chips ($79 for a 6-pack!!)
- Mouth tape
- RFK Jr's biography
- Beef protein bars

The Harper's letter signers were right!
In the Harper's Letter, one of the things they got right was this:

"The forces of illiberalism are gaining strength throughout the world and have a powerful ally in Donald Trump, who represents a real threat to democracy."

So, here it is.
