Sammy the Swan has been rescued by the RSPCA tonight at the side of Brigg signal box and level crossing.

Sadly Sammy cannot read a train timetable, and was far too early for the 1104 Northern Railway service to Cleethorpes tomorrow morning.

Good morning welcome to Tippetty tap tap Thursday

Kindness makes a difference.
It isn’t always simple, and some days you may not have the strength to give it.
That’s ok
But whenever you can, add a little love to the world, because all of us need more of it than we realise

Central Station, Manchester, opened late 19th century, closed 1969. Modelled on London St Pancras. Now a conference centre. Caught steam trains from here a couple of times as a child.

There's been a bin strike in Birmingham for over a year now, and they've just extended to September. I am a carer for my mum and niece with no car, I've had to save up and buy skips to get rid of our rubbish. And now they're increasing council tax, the mind boggles.

If only we had more destinations available via the Channel Tunnel. On both sides.

It is a failure of generations of politicians to plan a network which means trains from the North & West of the UK > Europe. And small-minded island mentality when it comes to border controls.
Here in the UK we've had one of our wettest winters ever. At the same time, we seem to be as addicted to cheap flights as ever before. Will we ever wake up?

TfL suggested Euston > Blackfriars was best to go on foot to Euston Square and round the Circle line.

I did it in 15 minutes via the Northern line to Embankment. It would take longer if I had luggage, but still
If it says 54 minutes from Victoria to Euston, is it expecting me to walk?

I remember the Doppelgelenkbusse that they used to have on the 5. Didn't use the #5 a lot really when I visited Hamburg; occasionally went to the Grindel cinema on the route.
Paris has the TVM bus, Hamburg has its number 5. Let's see when the replacement metro will eventually open on this corridor 🫠

“Trains on the Airport branch of the Réseau express métropolitain are projected to run every ten minutes during rush hour and every fifteen minutes at other times.”

I don’t understand why an airport service operates to the peak demand of the rest of the network, when their peaks are different?

Yes, they are redelivering today.

No, I will be changing it so that I collect it from a pharmacy in the future to avoid the stress and hassle.
I now have no idea what’s happening with my parcel, which contains medication. Is it at the sorting office? Maybe. I can’t collect it as they only open 08 to 10 on a Monday.

Will they try to redeliver? Perhaps. But I have no idea when it’ll be. And I’m not rescheduling just because they are inept.
