People often laugh when I say never underestimate the power of a good nights sleep as one of my leadership tips. Read my column in @themedialeader.bsky.social if you want to learn more.... uk.themedialeader.com/do-not-under...
Do not underestimate the power of sleep
Focusing on sleep is a key factor in building resilience for increasingly exhausted leaders. It doesn’t cost anything to develop good sleeping practices and it is within our control.

I have had death threats for my work on trans rights. I have been stalked. I have had people try and have me thrown out of my University. I am by no means alone, and lots of trans-inclusive academics have spoken publicly about the violence and harassment they face. But no mention of that here.

The current pushback against making further progress in gender equality at work and the advocacy for predetermined roles based on the accident of birth sex is bewildering. My article in @themedialeader.bsky.social published today. uk.themedialeader.com/men-still-wi...
Men still win at work, so why the pushback? - The Media Leader
Equality within the workplace benefits both people and profit — yet there is push for tides to turn back towards traditional roles.

The thing about the Rule of Law is it applies to everyone or no-one

The second thing about the Rule of Law is if you don’t agree with a decision then you appeal it, you most certainly don’t attack the judge for applying it

The third thing about the Rule Of Law is without it, you have chaos

It's never about the science. It's always about having a legal basis for your fear and hatred of other people.
My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"?

Sending my love and solidarity to my trans friends today whose every day lives just got a whole load harder. Whilst, ironically, not making a single cis woman safer. And a Supreme Court judgement that completely erases intersex people.

No one should have to go through what Syd did. Yet, conversion practices are still happening across Great Britain.
