I once got a group of teenagers to stop using 4chan by going “aww is 4chan still going? I remember using it when I was your age!”

(I didn’t go there at all but obviously was aware of it)
If you want some good news this morning, I showed my three boys the PM doing the six/seven thing and now they have all stopped doing it.

It's common to hear "fully accessible" to describe products which pass WCAG 2.2 AA. But, are they really?

In this post, I explore 5 examples of why WCAG, as awesome as it is, is not a measure of great usability or performance.

Last night's interview with Novara on the Rockstar firings is now up as its own standalone video, if you'd like to watch.

Delighted to see the story picked up by the wider media in this way, as surreal as it felt to appear on a show I've been watching for years now.

It’s been 17 years???!?
Unbelievably, 17 years after its original announcement, Ubisoft appears to still be hiring for Beyond Good and Evil 2

If you don't get that the "yucky porn games" are the gateway to censor further media that YOU personally think is acceptable, you need to get your head out of your ass. They're trying to divide people into smaller groups so their collective power is also smaller. Kill the cop in your head.
Already seeing folks say, "Well, HORSES isn't YUCKY PORN like other games are, so..." which is super frustrating.

Now is NOT the time to be throwing the hentai games you happen not to like under the bus. Your rage should be directly at payment processors.

In no way do I want to defend GenderGP but you know it’s being used as a stand in for trans youth healthcare in general, same as when they went after Tavistock
From r/TransgenderUK: The BBC is putting together a hit piece against GenderGP.

The BBC style guide is so transphobe-brained that tautology is built in to all their coverage of trans people.

I honestly don’t know how any professional writer or editor can say this is OK 👇🏻
“Ms Brooks, who was 18 at the time, is a trans woman who was born a biological male.”

Aside from the gross last part of this BBC News sentence, wasn’t she 17 at the time?

A lot of things have happened over the last decade and one of the biggest is how many 'progressives' have revealed themselves to be perfectly fine with racism and transphobia.
All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game

Notable there's not a single anti-trans "women's rights" organisation involved in the new campaign to end the criminalisation of abortion in Scotland.

But there are LGBTQ+ orgs.

It's almost as if one actually cares about women's rights and the other is just a hate campaign.

when I say journalism is dead and has been replaced by PR I'm not kidding you.

This is literally a sponsored article minus the BBC getting paid (as far as we know).
It’s perplexing that the BBC is currently under scrutiny for a supposed liberal bias in favour of trans rights.
Here, a spokesperson for an anti-trans group is quoted, the article says that trans inclusion would be illegal (it wouldn’t) and lists an anti-trans organisation for more info.

I’ve told this story before about how my asthma nurse asked me about my use of sex toys when finding out a) that I’m nonbinary and b) I book my smear tests with the hospital instead of with her.

Like, what do I use? Do I share them? Am I penetrated by them?

Not at that surgery anymore thankfully
Cis people, how many times have you been asked to describe how you masturbate, and what you think about when you do, to access healthcare on the NHS?
