I’m sharing an article from CBC News dated July 23/15 about a former RCMP Officer. He speaks about the lifelong guilt felt after participating in forcibly removing children from their parents. This guilt is what awaits folks in the US disappearing others. The guilt awaits to eat them alive.
Ex-RCMP who took kids to residential school seeks healing from guilt | CBC News
A former RCMP officer says he boxed away his feelings after his experience taking two children from their family in Fort Smith, N.W.T., and off to residential school. Fifty years later, he sought help...

"I think it's wrong to have the highest rate of funding for private schools in a province where we have the lowest rate of funding for public schools," the Calgary teacher said in an interview on Tuesday.
I agree.

This is excellent news particularly for the High Arctic and Northwest Passage. The Americans & Russians are always trying to lay claim to Canada’s arctic territory.

Many of us do vote not only for our interests but those around us as well. Unfortunately rural votes have more representation than urban and therein lies the crux. Rural voters tend to vote UCP and until they get tired of the bullshit spoon fed them by conservatives Alberta will stay conservative.

I promised myself I wouldn’t swear today but fuck every last UCP MLA and supporter who voted for this shit. You know what this is, it’s fucking policy murder. The UCP is practicing policy murder. Each UCP MLA has blood on their hands. Christ on a cracker Alberta we deserve fucking better than this

The great actress Diane Keaton has left us at the age of 79. Too soon to say good-bye to the woman who made us smile at the quirky Annie Hall, and who broke our hearts in Reds. Your charm and talent will be sorely missed.

Can some explain to me how a Canadian actor (Ryan Reynolds) made a documentary about one of Canada’s most beloved actors (John Candy), and yet rather than stream it on Crave (which is Canadian), they chose to sell out and make it available on Prime?

What a pile of shit.

“She’s a low IQ individual.” — Trump vents Dem grievances to PM Mark Carney 🇨🇦
kitkatnorthof60.bsky.social
PM Carney has been Prime Minster for not quite 6 months. I never expected him to magically fix the the tariff issues immediately considering who the current president is. What I am relieved about is that Carney IS Prime Minister and not the alternative. Having Poilievre as PM would be a nightmare.

Just back from animal ecology field work on Bylot Island, Nunavut. Taking a moment to share this picture of me walking near one of our beautiful short-term camps (background=Baffin). Not all work was that glamorous; I’ll share more ‘usual’ moments later. Now heading to Alert, Ellesmere Island.🧪🌿🌎🦉🦊🐻‍❄️
