And so, we have to keep writing MP's and MEP's, until one day we can all share responsibilities, as we move beyond old politics, into an age of #DirectDemocracy.

Modus Operandi with certain treaties in the past: deeply dissatisfied with the outcome of a referendum on a treaty, the treaty was given a new name, (tiny) changes of content were made, and it got adopted, ignoring a majority vote against it.

Of course, EU citizens now have no vote on #chatcontrol.

In particular, we must be wary of "new" proposals that allow scanning of "known content" while claiming to protect privacy by proscribing "indiscriminate" surveillance. We must also look out for those that mandate only scanning for “hashed images or videos.” 4/
