@peterbakernyt.bsky.social you’re on this, right?

It’s all about optics, nothing about substance.
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you ... People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"
November 23, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Guess who that will be?
America putting most of its eggs in the generative AI basket, China going hard into green tech. When history looks back on this period, someone is going to look awfully stupid.
November 22, 2025 at 11:00 PM
There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

Weird. Nothing on the @nytimes.com homepage about the President of the United States calling for the execution of members of the opposition in response to their political speech.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.
November 20, 2025 at 7:47 PM
@nytimes.com You are so incredibly ridiculous. Dumpy, Our Special Boy, doesn't have or make friends. It's only about money, money, money.

Great question!
Why does the Trump White House keep trying to protect men who abuse women?
NEW: When Andrew Tate landed in the US, Customs & Border Protection seized his electronic devices. But @propublica.org found that a White House official told DHS to return the devices, emphasizing that the request came from the White House.

In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

Let's start calling it the "Trump Murder Memo."

#TrumpMurderMemo
It is interesting to me how the media seems far less interested in Trump's Murder Memo than you'd expect. Only a few reporters seem to be even trying to get a hold of it, and very few commentators are talking about it. Contrast that with Bush's torture memo, which was a national obsession. Weird.

Please, please, please don't let this go. Stay on it. @murray.senate.gov
Let's just use our common sense here: it seems pretty clear why Donald Trump has fought tooth and nail against releasing the Epstein files.

Way past time to release the files.
🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES.
November 12, 2025 at 6:43 PM
So on Epstein, the Democratic position should be "Trump should resign." If you are a Democratic elected, practice saying "We demand the president's resignation" in front of a mirror as many times as it takes until the dry-heaving that comes from having a phobia about actually doing politics passes.

Dems held out for 40 days for nothing?
November 10, 2025 at 1:09 PM
@peterbakernyt.bsky.social @cnn.com @nytimes.com Still waiting that breathless investigative article about this.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?
November 9, 2025 at 5:25 PM
@schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social DO NOT CAVE ON THIS. Murphy is right.
Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"
November 7, 2025 at 7:44 PM
@schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social DO NOT CAVE ON SHUTDOWN. I'm telling you, all of our heads will explode if you do.
November 7, 2025 at 7:43 PM
Now that Trump has been proven to be fallible, are we going to see a news trend focusing on his dementia?
November 5, 2025 at 5:14 PM
@schumer.senate.gov you will be crushed if you do this. Stay strong. Stay the course.
If some group of Ds are going to vote to end the shutdown they sure as hell better find 4 Rs on up or down vote to extend ACA subsidies
November 4, 2025 at 1:24 PM
@jenrubin.bsky.social best column to date. Want to know what Dems should do? Read this.
November 3, 2025 at 1:52 PM
You’d think this would be obvious. @meetthepress.com @cnn.com @nbcnews.com
Maybe the Sunday Show hosts can ask a question like this:

'Your party has complete control of government & polls show majority of Americans blame you for the government shutdown, so what are Republicans doing to fix this problem & make sure troops get paid and hungry kids get the food they need?'
New NBC News poll: Who do voters say is more to blame for the government shutdown?

• 52% blame Trump/Republicans
• 42% blame Democrats

@nytimes.com @peterbakernyt.bsky.social got a big breathless story coming out about this?
The media's complete lack of curiosity over our nearly 80 year old President's health when he has permanent bruising on his right hand, swollen ankles, facial drooping, disappeared for days from public view twice in the last 2 months and just had an unexplained MRI is notable
October 29, 2025 at 12:44 PM
@nytimes.com always failing
"may avert a crisis of his own making" is a crazy way to say Trump's tariffs have failed miserably and now he's caved to China. If this was Biden or Obama, the headline would go for the jugular. Good grief.
