Why we don’t talk about the Eastside #Atlanta Beltline streetcar much anymore:
1. The project was canceled.
2. Better #transit ideas exist— bus lanes, infill MARTA stations, etc.
3. The Beltline path needs attention.

Wasting a billion of taxpayer funds on a #football #stadium is bad. Naming it for #Trump, who is making the people of the #DMV suffer via the #shutdown and #ICE raids, is inexcusable.

Despite the unforeseen issues that arose during construction, this rubber tire #transit project will likely come in at 1/4 the cost of a tram. Best of all, it connects to— but doesn’t disrupt— the Atlanta Beltline.
