another way to tell this isn’t really about vaccine safety — they aren’t even looking at all the safety data
On Thursday, members of a committee that advises #CDC on vaccine policy will vote on changes to #hepatitisB vaccine use in babies. Manufacturers (who have safety data) & CDC experts who study the vaccine aren't involved in the planning for the votes. #ACIP www.statnews.com/2025/12/02/a...

This is so interesting. Could it suggest an evolutionary advantage for autism? Fostering bonds between unrelated groups?
Thanks to @annmemmott.bsky.social for sharing-- this paper demonstrates that people with #autism are more likely to care about people who aren't family or close friends, and that this is likely related to their understanding of what is fair/honorable.

In a functional vaccine regulatory system there would be full data transparency & structured review of vax benefits & harms. That's not what we have now in the US.

👉FDA & ACIP have abandoned science for ideology. It will take many years to rebuild the regulatory infrastructure & regain public trust
When people prioritize ideology and political agendas over scientific evidence, they focus only on the side that supports their position. Case in point: Prasad's memo uses unsupported claims of dead children to justify ignoring the many benefits of COVID vaccination
Prasad's memo focuses only on the potential risks of vaccines, without considering their benefits or citing how many lives they have saved, says @angierasmussen.bsky.social. One estimate finds vaccines saved the lives of 299 children from 2020 to 2024.

Prasad's memo reads like a wild ride of insinuation & poor logic to justify his longstanding contrarian/antivax hobby horse. He's wanted to change policy for so long. Amidst his oft-critiqued inconsistent evidence std's, seems from his prose here he thinks he's found evid. confirming his worldview.🛟
