Trump says it is far less expensive under him and he is correct because the only world he knows it the one of Millionaires and Billionaires and for them it is finally cheaper.
The world of you and I who must find a way to make a living while earning less the 40k a year costs are higher under him.

Nope, I found out from mom who had to ask why everyone was suddenly wearing masks.

Let’s be clear: when we talk about progressives here, we’re not talking about “radical leftists.” We’re talking about Democrats who want a return to the FDR era — when government worked for working people, not around them. 🧵

There's a reason I agree with @ezralevin.bsky.social 99+% of the time.
The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)
They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

I have been developing this idea for a Gothic Thriller that is set at Monte Ne, Arkansas that works in its history as well but sadly they tore down the tower so I suppose if I ever get to the filming stage it will have to be replicated in a studio.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Call a Senator that voted no tonight and demand that they vote to remove Chuck Schumer as Senate Minority Leader.
He has weaponized his incompetence against the American people by allowing 8 Dem Senators to cave to an authoritarian regime. We need real leadership, not the oligarchy’s lapdog

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him
And they should, given this is his fault.
And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.

We haven't had the vote yet so we don't know who the 10 Democratic senators are, but I'm sure we can guess. Everybody needs to be calling your local and DC office of your Democratic senator and telling them they must not cave. Thank you @sanders.senate.gov for calling this a disaster.

The problem with this is to many, and I don't know why, think some how if the Republicans promise to do something to open the government that it would be legally binding and thing about that is, that called the honor system & the Republicans in Power such as Mike Johnson have no honor to be upheld.
Sen Dems: OK, we'll vote to open the government if all promise to give us a vote on health-care in the future.
Sen Repubs: (to each other "omg this is like taking candy from a baby") Yes deal!!!
Sen Dems: You guys promise? We are trusting you
Sen Repubs: Would we ever lie to you 😉
