Hochul, who is the one who controls the MTA, the state agency that operates the city’s public transit, put the kibosh on Mamdani's promise for free buses. I guess he didn't know the MTA is a state agency, because I'm sure he'd never tell a big fat lie that he was fully aware was a big fat lie.
