When are we going to learn that #medicines are not the answer to everything. It’s like tightening a screw to fix a collapsing bridge & spending most of our £ on the screw. Some are life changing (very rarely), some help but only if we address other issues, some do nothing & at worst some cause harm

A 2025 review in the Lancet (www.thelancet.com/journals/lan... shows that our current spending on new medicines skews overall health spend away from more effective interventions. But it looks like we are about to spend more on meds, thus depriving our population of more effective healthcare.

If you're not sure how far the country still needs to go on fixing misogyny, this is one good indicator for you:

This article manages to name her husband before it names… her.
Article reads:
Woman named as Archbishop of Canterbury in historic first

The 63-year-old archbishop-designate is married to Eamonn Mullally, with whom she has two children. Originally from Woking in Surrey, she was the UK's chief nursing officer from 1999 to 2004.

Wowza. I feel less clear about what #UKPPLAB and @BOPA.org.uk @rpharms.com is trying to achieve having been to the leadership session.

Someone somewhere has a plan in their head surely? So maybe someone needs to pitch that plan rather than jabber words about co-creation? You don't start...

Lucky enough to be able to try it on my work phone first and see how it goes. So far, it adds functionality that is over my head and the screen looks a bit weird. I’m sure that’s just the technical review you were after! 😂

“You don’t have to believe everything you think.” Byron Katie

Thoughts can spiral before we even realise.

We are not our thoughts.

We’re allowed to pause, soften, and gently challenge the story.

Illustration with a rainbow background titled “Challenge Cognitive Distortions” by @anxiety.positive. It features nine black circles, each containing a question to help challenge unhelpful thoughts:
	1.	Is there truth to this thought?
	2.	Will this matter tomorrow?
	3.	Are there other possibilities?
	4.	Is this thought helpful?
	5.	Is this situation in my control?
	6.	What would a loved one say?
	7.	Am I assuming anything?
	8.	What is the worst outcome?
	9.	What is healthy for me?

Why is the #Pharmacist character creepy & a drug dealer?

Why are all #pharmacy characters in books & tv shows portrayed as weird drug dealers? #HappyValley #Casualty #DesperateHousewives

& is called Dave Webb…🤔🤨😂 I suspect the real DW will think it’s funny 🤞🏻

Just had the rather fun news that A PARTICULARLY NASTY CASE will debut in the Sunday Times bestseller list at #2, and is the fastest-selling crime book of the year so far. Thank you to everyone who has bought, sold or stolen a copy!

Of course not. It did that me a while to learn that responding and on such comments with facts is futile, maybe it should be included in a definition of becoming wiser! 😂
