A producer and editor for WGN-TV was violently forced to the ground this morning by two Border Patrol agents, before having her hands cuffed behind her back, during an ICE action in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Debbie Brockman has worked for the local television station since 2011.

A DHS spokesperson said that Debbie Brockman was placed under arrest for ‘assault on a federal law enforcement officer,’ claiming the WGN employee threw objects at the agent.

For no particular reason, we feel now would be a good time for a general reminder that advocating against equal rights for LGBTQI+ people is—by definition—advocating for discrimination.

This is unconscionable in so many ways. First that they’d fire these valuable employees & all but do away with these important functions. Second that they’ll blame it on Democrats & the shutdown. These firings were outlined Project 2025. They were going to be fired, just a matter of when.
