I only made it through Light from Uncommon Stars for the #transrightsreadathon this year. What a collision of concepts you would never think would work! I don’t know that I have read any book that has more heart. Beautiful and heartbreaking book.

Placing the time of the setting was a little difficult, but it’s a fantasy…so maybe trying to place it in my idea of a time was stupid. The FMC’s struggle to believe her own lived experiences was a bit too relatable 😅. Great character growth all around. Loved it

I put Legendborn on my bookclub’s tbr when we first started meeting over a year ago, hoping it would be our random winner at some point so we could all read and appreciate it together. I will truly never understand why people are okay with their reps and president straight up lying to their faces about things everyone can verify on their own in 2 damn minutes. They think you’re stupid, and you’re not proving them wrong.

I absolutely loved this. Historical fantasy set in early 1900’s Egypt where djinn and magic are an aspect of everyday life. This was a story of resistance against colonialism and cultural appropriation with a strong FMC and great queer rep! 5⭐️

I want everyone to know that the band Sleep Token teased a micro site with random letters. Then you had to look at an ancient sculpture to find the order of the letters to access the site. Then it asked you to choose a house and none of us know what it means. But it’s very Sleep Token. #sleeptoken
