Between this and the Louvre prosecutor describing the suspects’ statements as “minimalist” while bragging that they had worked on the case over a weekend it’s an absolutely incredible week for Frenchness
A French cyclist survived for three days after a horrendous 130-foot fall into a ravine, kept alive by the bottles of red wine he had in his shopping bag, police said.

Genuinely just had an email from the most magnificently named Tamla Tutankhamun - I’m definitely getting these vibes.

Also nice to have a copy of Wearing your Jumper that isn’t (aaaargh!) 41 years old.
My dad was in the RAF throughout WWII - he wore a poppy on one day a year to remember his friends and comrades, never to grandstand and certainly never to romanticise what they’d been through.
A place that never disappoints in being somehow worse than it really could be (and I say that with love having had some fabulous nights there - and some less so…).
This arrived today. Suddenly it’s the mid eighties again and I’m 20, major crush on Lucy, white 501s and it’s summer. Not bad at all - a lovely record.
100 Club is still hanging in there
Not sure if I’m pleased or not - it’s gone!
Looks more like liquid tin up here.
I’ll just have to drink more then.
Is that Union Jack in the shape of Cliff Richard ? None of your bloody foreign rock n’rollers over here.
