If we have no mutuals and no interaction,

If you have no userpic, and/or your bio has typical bot signaling or puppet phrasing,

If you have thousands of followers and follows, but your feed is all reposts,

There's a fairly high likelihood I'm gonna block after you add me.
I grabbed the Afrin spray right when I woke up, but it was too late. Time for triptan...

Churches, charities & family are not a substitute for SNAP

They can help but they’re not accessible to everyone

They can’t scale up to support an influx of 42 million people

The government could easily fund SNAP, they’re choosing not to

They’re choosing to let people starve
Adding Rainier Valley Food Bank to this list of neighborhood resources. They just built a new facility to provide more resources, services, and care.

If you have a need to buff up your community and group work skills,

want to reframe how you organize with others and why so it feels healthier

want a space to recover from and imagine into the community group that you need but haven’t found?

I have a few tools that may be of use or not.
I firmly believe that our current individual support structures are insufficient for negotiating an era of compounding crises, and well- designed, resourced and curated community and peer support groups are profoundly necessary at this time.

This seems like a good November to take the kids to donate that $75 turkey money to the food bank, and have delicious street tacos for family dinner.
I moved to Tidal this year. The search doesn't give awesome results, but I do enjoy the superior audio quality and the daily discovery. I moved ALL of my playlists at once, using a service for $5. The family plan is $5 cheaper than Spotify.
Trying so hard to feel festive... Hoping this helps!

It hasn't been wet enough or cold enough for the seasonal wood smoke and decaying leaf litter.

Today, it's just the fresh, crisp exhalations of trees.
Today was that one perfect day of brilliant sunshine lighting up the flaming maples. One of the best days of the year.

Anywho, moral of the story is to do things and to invite others to join you.
The onslaught of blatant lies without repercussion is destroying me...

When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.
Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

Kaiser holds $66 BILLION in reserves, yet refuses to give health care workers the fair pay and benefits they deserve and safe staffing they need to do their jobs.

America’s unions stand with the 46,000 workers at Kaiser on a 5-day strike fighting for a fair contract!
If you're saying, "Should I do this thing that interests me?" I'm going to say YES. Hell, yes. We don't have time to lose. Revel in your delight, share your special interest, teach us what you know. We need more sincere, human content in the world. Do the thing, FFS.
You've got some time to start cultivating a new one. Like, if you need me to talk you into this, I will do it. (But not here, haha)
You need a good sports bar crew in the north end...
No time for us to not do things because other people do them. Everything else is just logistics.
Hopefully the urgency will light a fire under me. It's hard to feel very inspired rn.
We waited until the 13th to decide on a sewn-from-scratch cosplay.

Because of course.
Looks like I'm sewing this weekend.
Rage status I JUST WANT TO PRINT AN ADDRESS ON AN ENVELOPE engaged.
I revel in the weaponized whimsy that defies the narrative of violence. We are not helpless; we are joy-- larger than life, and more powerful than hate.
