I never heard of her until that controversy with Tom Cotton came up. CBS News has been dying a slow death since 2004. Hiring Bari Weiss is the morphine overdose. I'd be surprised to find the CBS Evening News still on broadcast TV by October 2027.
He always fascinated me. I wondered why. Then, I discovered that like me, he is Louisiana trash.
Two weeks ago, I read my first article about that possibility. I think it's going to be worse than the dotcom burst... but I am generally paranoid. So maybe, it'll turn out to be easy-peasy.
🤣- I needed the laugh, and you're right.
Even his so-called friends were ready for him to go away. They didn't need him anymore, and the longer he stuck around the more unsavory things people learned about him. He was addicted to prescription medicine and he was a sex tourist. I'll add "allegedly" for the decent white folks who read this.

You've played that game?! Now, I know how American Horror Story: Aval(l)on(e) ends.

A great piece that hasn’t aged a day since 1941.

Play the game the next time you’re in a room full of people. I’ve played it. I think for some people it’s almost a reflex. “Which one of you would call the Gestapo on me, and which would watch, relieved, as I was taken from my home in the night?”

Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

“Miller and the rest abhor the word ‘fascist’ because they know it fairly describes their politics and they worry that, as more Americans come to recognize that, the country might turn against the nationalist project.

Joining me today and tomorrow at the table! My lovely and talented wife, @pennystarrjr.bsky.social, is here and has cut-and-sew Halloween Ragdolls!

And me with the comic books and whatnot.

I've said the same thing for decades, but in a clumsy way. So I'll just borrow this... if you don't mind.

I tell people that the problem is not coming up with ideas, I think of a couple dozen of them a day. The real problem is knowing which of the damn things is any good for writing up. Most of them are junk. I have to let them roll around in my brain a while to find out which is which.

Do you have a clever/pithy/useful answer when people ask where you get your ideas? If so, can I steal it?
I would love for them to be stars and make you wealthy.

Post the wins.

Think about how consumers and market forces made these giant powerful companies change course and — here’s the important part — defy Trump.

Now consider doing it for something bigger than Jimmy Kimmel.

This one is a collab i did with JF LeMay during the COVID pandemic.. it is entitled MMXX

#Art #Illustration #DigtialArt
A graphical representation of COVID and disease in general, it features a face with eye ball floating from the head, except the eyeball is the COVID virus. There are also maggots on their face, and an iron lock around the neck.

Thanks for the kind words.

My wife @pennystarrjr.bsky.social — for personal/family reasons — is fascinated by this sci-fi trope, and this panel (and how it pays off later in the series) was for her.

Kewber’s art is extraordinary on this series.

I've spent this week catching up on my Elvira stories to be caught up before I read Harley Quinn x Elvira. This panel in Elvira in Monsterland #2 rocked me.

@davallone.bsky.social's Elvira run has been generational. All due respect, he should be the one with the pen. #HorrorSky #MutantFam
