P.S. do I do this? Fuck yes. Like anyone else, I can be a victim of Poe’s law. Sometimes sarcasm and “satire” are so poorly written, you can’t tell. But the right answer is always delete and don’t double down.
The ugliness can be over before it gets started, or it can be your whole day. Your choice.

Let’s say you make a mistake.

You see a post. It seems outrageous. Terribly wrong. Immoral. You reply to it with some heat.

But you were wrong! You missed sarcasm or context! You didn’t have the whole picture and your reaction is based on misunderstanding.

The “rude” label seems more like it means “multiple people lost arguments with this person and got mad about it.”

You should know you can turn this label off. I did.
