bungie STILL makes one of the best playing shooters on the market but unfortunately they are determined to make everything around the core gameplay be as terrible as possible
bungie make the best looking, best playing console shooters on the market and none of the competition has really come close in over 2 decades. yet every decision management has ever made has been as if they were time travellers sent back from the future to somehow force them into failure

literally any time anyone ever asks me for friend making advice i say "talk to more people" and they say "but that's hard" and i say "that's because it's a skill so you should get better at it by doing it". i don't know why people think there's a magic Make Friends Now move when it's all opportunity

a hot take that i genuinely hold is that relationships (romantic or otherwise) are to a large extent a numbers game and you do need to learn to accept that. you won't form a lasting bond with the vast majority of people you meet so to some extent you do kinda just have to keep rolling the dice.
